Do you have one? What do you carry? Whats the purpose? How long will it sustain you?

I have a bag that I got from the hunting section at Walmart, its got pockets for miles! I have some things in it, mostly medical related because my kids have some issues that require medications that I absolutely can not be without. There isn't any sustainable food in the bag because I keep going mind blank when it comes to what to put in it. Packing for people with food allergies is HARD. I do have a bottle of water, a collapsible cup, lots of dry lemon/lime sugar/dry honey packets, and a lifestraw in it so water is somewhat covered. I also have a purse that will fit the kitchen sink and most of the fridge if I pack it right. Bags of all sizes are my downfall and my problem might not be from having the right one but having too many spread out. A few things here and not enough here.

I get it, my oldest had food allergies when she was younger and eventually grew out of them. My youngest has a few minor ones but also suffers from some asthma so having extra inhalers is always a concern. For me a couple MREs should get me home in most cases but when we travel on road trips we are much more conscious about how we pack and what we bring for extra supplies. I always ask myself “could we walk home from here?” and figure out what extra we may need to bring to pull it off.

We got asthma, epilepsy, motion sickness to the millionth degree, dairy sensitivity, light sensitivities, lemon/citric acid sensitivities/allergies, my nightshade allergies, my husband has issues with vanilla and garlic. It's ridiculous on so many levels. I also have issues with processed breads but the stuff I make I can handle in small amounts. I need to avoid nearly 99% of the easy stuff just to start. At least I can drink water! Oh I forgot I am supposed to carry an epi pen for my reactions to aspartame and vanillin. Plus the insanity that comes from my youngest eating MSG or too many fake colors. Whole foods are our friend!

On the plus side you know exactly what you are putting in you and your families bodies and have a real motivator when it comes to producing and consuming your own home grown food.

LOL yeah, parenting, and life in general, isn't what I thought it would be that is for sure! Never a dull moment.
