If you were in a situation where someone started to suffer from an allergic reaction to something and was very itchy, what would you give them besides OTC medications like Benedryl? Personal test right now with skullcap because I found out the other day the croutons I have been loving have tomato in them, which I am allergic to and OMG am I itchy. I will be itchy until whatever hellmouth poison tomatoes have in them works it way out of my system. Whatever it is my body reacts to exits through my skin.

Oh no.. Cool compresses on itchy spots and oatmeal baths can both help to soothe the itchy skin.

I keep a wet washcloth and a lot of freezer packs in the fridge or freezer and oatmeal only helps a little. Baths/showers usually make my itching worse because my body doesn't react well to the chemical makeup in our water. In the worst spots I use Alocane, meant for burns but amazing for my itching! I'm a medical complication when it comes to my skin LOL.
